If you could have dinner with 1 person who you regard as a leader, who would it be and why?

I would have loved to have dinner with Nelson Mandela, a resolute, wise, and patient leader who was not afraid to stand firm for what he believed in, and devote his life to pursue something greater than himself.

What motivates you to create social impact?

As a person who has undeservedly been given much, I believe I am called to give back even more, and make a difference in the lives of people around me and in this world.

Host Site Overview

A key pillar of our mission is to spread human-centered design. Though we believe that our design process is crucial to arriving at innovative solutions, we don’t think that we’re the only ones who should be using it. We want everyone on board. By sharing, teaching, and empowering social-sector workers to practice human-centered design, we’re elevating design as a poverty-fighting tool.

Host Site Project

The Fellow will undertake strategic partnerships initiatives like: – developing tools and systems to streamline and better drive IDEO.org’s partnership pipeline management – conducting landscape analyses to help inform the design challenges IDEO.org might work on and the partners we might work with around those challenges – creating mechanisms to better qualify potential partners – building tools that support the onboarding of IDEO.org’s partners – organizing a partnership development toolkit, consisting of assets that support the partnership development process In order to effectively work to shift the Partnerships function to a more proactive strategy, the Fellow will also help IDEO.org in supporting various stages of partnership development, from new conversations to reporting on current and past partnerships. By helping IDEO.org build capacity during such a critical year in the organization’s development, the Fellow will help IDEO.org amplify its ability to spread human-centered design throughout the social sector and have a demonstrable impact on poverty.
