If you could have dinner with 1 person who you regard as a leader, who would it be and why?

I would have dinner with President Barack Obama to discuss the challenges of government bureaucracy and what members of my generation can do to change the status quo.

What motivates you to create social impact?

I have been afforded many advantages and opportunities, most of which I did not have control over, and I feel a strong sense of social responsibility to use my power and privilege to give back to my community and hopefully make this world a better place.

Host Site Project

The success of College Track’s college partnership program will be determined by our students’ ability to take advantage of campuses resources, persist and graduate on time. One of the College Success department’s lead measures (defined as: activities that are predictive of goal achievement) is reciprocal communication with students and key stakeholders. Our college partners (stakeholders) hold important information regarding our students’ ability to move the “academic needle” and it is the responsibility of the college partnership program to regularly gather and disperse information from college partners to CT’s College Completion team. The New Sector Alliance Fellow will focus on partnership development by working closely with the Director of College Services to maintain and build best in class college partnerships in Northern California and select regions outside of California to eliminate the opportunity gap between students from high- and low-income communities. Specifically, this position will start by getting to know our current partnerships and strengthening communication with 7-10 college partners and, in some instances, the students who attend our partner colleges. The Fellow will then create a plan of action to increase and/or improve the services currently being offered by college partners as well as a plan to target new partners in Northern California. Lastly, the Fellow will take ownership over creating new partnerships, improved partnership services and student progress to CT’s College Completion team.
