If you could have dinner with 1 person who you regard as a leader, who would it be and why?

I would love to have dinner with Shug Avery of The Color Purple because she embodies the Black American woman tradition of radical self-definition, which can be critical to tapping into agency beyond our personal lives to lead change in our communities.

What motivates you to create social impact?

My social location and social group identities have compelled me to do work that erodes social systems of inequality to create a more just world.
