If you could have dinner with 1 person who you regard as a leader, who would it be and why?

I would love to have dinner with Bernie Sanders! I want to pick his brain about his ideas and visions for creating political change, and find out more about what has kept him motivated throughout his career.

What motivates you to create social impact?

The reward of watching those people and communities you’ve helped continue the work that you’ve started with them; the knowledge that no task is too small and sometimes starting from the bottom-up is the best way to create change.

Host Site Overview

Nearly 180 youth mentoring organizations, including independent agencies, school-based organizations, faith-based organizations and government and community-based organizations, are known to be operating in Illinois. While most are doing good work with the resources they have, more than 500,000 additional young people statewide could benefit from having a mentor. The Illinois Mentoring Partnership will help close this mentoring gap and will result in outcome-based returns.
