If you could have dinner with 1 person who you regard as a leader, who would it be and why?
Dorothy Day because she was an interesting figure who awakened the conscience of many, and was a fierce social activist for the poor, homeless, labor movement and women’s rights. Moreover, she was a devout Christian who was authentic about her vulnerability, her mission and used nonviolent methods to bring awareness to a social problem and lastly, she showed radical love and mercy with those she came in contact with.
Describe in 1 sentence, what motivates you to create social impact?
My God, my community and my conscience tells me about the surrounding injustices and tells me that there is more work that needs to be done, in other words, quoting Ghandi, I want to be the change I wish to see in the world by strengthening and contributing something to the health and well-being of individuals, and communities.
