If you could have dinner with 1 person who you regard as a leader, who would it be and why?
I would have dinner with Faith Ringgold, an artist active in the 60s-80s who is most famous for her quilts, to talk to her about the role of craft in art and creating social change.
What motivates you to create social impact?
I am motivated to create social impact by understanding the ways that people experience injustice and finding out the ways I can work with them to prevent future injustices.

President Obama launched the My BrotherÕs Keeper Initiative in 2014 to bring attention to the specific challenges and barriers boys and young men of color face trying to succeed in our county. Mayor Betsy Hodges, Mayor Chris Coleman, and Minnesota Council on Foundations CEO Trista Harris came together in 2015 to launch the Twin Cities My BrotherÕs Keeper Initiative. Since then, the City of Minneapolis has taken this charge very seriously and is incorporating this initiative into the fabric of its operations. Currently, the initiative lives in the MayorÕs Office and the primary coordinator is Phillipe Cunningham, Mayor HodgesÕ senior policy aide for education and youth success. The MayorÕs Office is in need of support to build capacity for the MBK work in order to transition the initiative into the City CoordinatorÕs Office where it will be made a permanent initiative for the City (currently it is attached to Mayor Hodges only). Will is responsible for establishing processes, systems, and funding opportunities that will build on the current foundation of MBK work to create a sustainable, action-oriented initiative.
