If you could have dinner with 1 person who you regard as a leader, who would it be and why?
Walt Whitman (and Ralph Waldo Emerson if Whitman could bring a friend…) in order to hear about the moments and relationships that led him to a transcendental and humanist perspective in life!
What motivates you to create social impact?
I am motivated by a deep discomfort with the social inequities and injustices present in our world today and yet inspired by opportunities to promote individual wellbeing and to disrupt the systems that perpetuate inequity.

Host Site Project
AchieveMission is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to dramatically increasing the impact achieved by nonprofits by improving their capacity for human capital management and leadership development. We consult to exemplary nonprofits and foundations, collaborating with them to implement leadership development and human capital management best practices that enable them to increase mission impact. As a thought leader, we leverage and adapt practices honed and proven in the corporate sector, as well as create and share innovative solutions tailored to the unique needs of nonprofits. Our organization is passionate about helping our clients to realize measurable increases in mission impact, dedicated to creating and sharing knowledge, and grounded in candor and data-driven decision-making. We provide a strong fit for a highly motivated professional wanting to use his or her rich experiences to making a lasting social impact on individual nonprofits and the entire nonprofit sector, and thus on the communities they serve. While AchieveMission is proud of the work we’ve done with our partners, we recognize that we are limited by our capacity to make new partnerships with organizations needing our support. AchieveMission seeks a Resident in Social Enterprise to work directly with senior leaders to build our capacity to develop partnerships, including a strategy for how we communicate. In this role, the Fellow will be exposed to best practices and have hands-on experience on a number of projects and initiatives that will support how the organization is changing the way nonprofit sector thinks about talent. LEARNING GOALS Through the course of the residence, the Fellow will be guided and supported to explore her interests in the context of AchieveMission’s strategic goals and day-to-day work. Specifically, the year will be structured around the following learning goals: -Collaboration. Working productively with others in a fast-paced professional work environment. -Sector landscape. Becoming familiar with the structure of the sector, its values, economics, strengths and challenges. -Leadership development and human capital management. Learning and evangelizing the power of HCM to transform organizations and the sector. -Partnership development.
