Based in Boston, Hap holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from Dartmouth College.
Hap is Executive Vice President, Global Sales Leader at Merkle. Previously, Hap directed the North American sales team at Accenture, responsible for sales growth and for accelerating the growth of transformation sales through a firm wide proactive C-Level program. This program engages C-Level clients in opportunities to drive significant shareholder value to the bottom line. With more than 30 years’ experience in consulting and outsourcing, Hap has been involved extensively in business, technology and market-driven organizational change projects for Fortune 1000 clients across a wide range of industries, from energy and chemicals companies to media and entertainment groups to manufacturing organizations. Prior to becoming the Managing Director of Sales for North America at Accenture, some of Hap’s previous positions included Resources Managing Director for Global Sales, Managing Director of Accenture Procurement Solutions and Accenture Learning. With his extensive outsourcing and new business start-up skills, Hap has been responsible for developing Accenture’s capabilities from setting strategic direction to delivering a full suite of services to millions of customers in multiple geographies. Hap has also created new e-Learning ventures and alliances, has launched several new businesses for Accenture and was a member of the Board of Directors that launched the company’s initial public offering. In addition to his board responsibilities at New Sector Hap directs two major scholarship funds, the Dartmouth College Libby Brakeley Scholarship, for top engineering students, and the Libby Brakeley Scholarship Fund, which provides tuition for top graduating high school students. Hap lives in Marblehead, MA, with his wife and six children. His hobbies include skiing, golf and keeping up with his children’s activities.
