Professional Background

Marcia supports New Sector’s Boston program and operations. Prior to joining the New Sector team, Marcia was a Program Manager with City Year Orlando overseeing a team in direct service at an inner-city elementary school. She has previously served as a Training Facilitation Assistant with the Corrymeela Community in Northern Ireland, a Community Economic Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Paraguay, and a Truancy Intervention Liaison with the Los Alamos Juvenile Justice Advisory Board in New Mexico. Marcia is dedicated to social justice causes both domestically and abroad, and is currently researching best practice in post-conflict reconstruction and reconciliation at UMass Boston.
