Michael Etzel is a manager in The Bridgespan Group’s Boston office. Since joining Bridgespan in 2006, Michael has advised leaders of organizations focused on early childhood, economic development, public health, recidivism and criminal justice reform, and child welfare. His specific projects range from developing the measurement strategy for a global women’s economic empowerment organization to building the placebased early childhood strategy for a top 10 family foundation.
Michael earned his AB cum laude with high honors in Social Studies from Harvard College and his MBA with distinction from HBS. Michael is a longtime Massachusetts resident and has served as a volunteer mentor and trainer for New Sector Alliance. While at HBS, he was copresident of the Social Enterprise Club, and he spent a summer at Google Giving helping to launch their Global Impact Awards program.
