Michelle Nie

Michelle is a Program Design Consultant for New Sector Alliance. While an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley, Michelle served as a New Sector Summer Fellow, where she developed an intimate understanding of New Sector’s user experience and discovered her passion for scaling educational and workforce programs and making them more accessible.

In addition to her work with New Sector, Michelle is an independent consultant and designer working on education and workforce development projects ranging from building out a community engagement program at Purpose Project to designing an R&D function and go-to-market strategy at Calbright College to leading operations at Life Pods, a young alumni engagement and user research program. Previously, Michelle was on the Client Success team at Guild Education, performing analytics and client management for one of Guild’s largest clients. Prior to that, she was on the Economic Mobility team at Entangled Solutions, where she helped launch the Rise Prize in collaboration with Imaginable Futures and Lumina Foundation and performed research for the Toward Economic Justice whitepaper and resulting initiative in collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the SkillUp Coalition. Michelle started her career at Salesforce, where she helped manage global cash and investments and partnered with sales leaders to build budgets and forecasting tools. Michelle holds a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Berkeley.
