Christopher Hawk
He/Him
AK Child & Family
Chris Hawk was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Since 2015, he has served as the Music and Special Ministries Coordinator at AK Child & Family, a private, nonprofit organization bringing hope to young lives and their families through a broad range of psychiatric services. As a member of the Spiritual Life Department of AKCF’s multi-campus Residential Treatment program, Chris helps facilitate music-based fellowship and programming for residents (e.g., drum groups, student variety shows, and Spiritual Life retreats).
Outside of the residential treatment world, Chris serves as a music director at a local church, as well as a vocal coach at Alpine Music Studios, a school for music lessons and instruction.
Since childhood, music has been Chris’s passion. Whether accepting a Grammy Award on behalf of his high school’s music department, participating in the Glee Club at the University of Alaska Anchorage, training under the tutelage of world-renowned percussionist and drum circle facilitator Arthur Hull, signing to Satellite Heart Records — a local record label, or being voted Anchorage Press Picks 2022 Best Male Vocalist, music has always played a key role in his life and development.
Chris also enjoys traveling, spending time with family, sour candy, chess, cooking, and solo movie-going.
