Shannon Jeffries is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at BoardSource, where she leads efforts to support and grow a thriving community of corporate, federated, and foundation partners. In her role, Shannon builds intentional, high-impact relationships for a more just and equitable social sector.
Shannon is a storyteller, philanthropist, and servant leader. Shannon has worked with nonprofits, foundations, K-12 schools, and universities to develop programs, build teams, and establish partnerships that meet the needs of diverse stakeholders. With a personal mission to make an impact, she earned a B.A. in psychology at The Ohio State University and an M.Ed. in urban school counseling at the University of Maryland, College Park. She started her career in college admissions and K-12 education before pivoting to fundraising and philanthropy to better understand and influence community investment strategies. Shannon has consulted with and supported women and Black-led social change organizations with fundraising, strategic events, and communications.
A community philanthropist, Shannon is also the co-creator of the Tanna Fund, a giving circle that awards microgrants to Black women entrepreneurs in the Washington, DC region.
